This was quite the undertaking i.e. there was a lot more HTML-ing than I thought. I have done several text-only summaries of various anime and video games, but this is my first ever with pictures. I'm quite pleased with how it looks; kids may be on to something with this... anyway, I'd wanted to tackle FF6 for a while now, and while I half-succeeded in 2008, I made completing this "tribute" in 2010 my New Year's Resolution.
... What.
My household started playing this game in 1994, when it came out, and combined we have played through approximately 374357643564523 times, in about 1,000 different ways. My parents refused to buy it until Christmas of that year, so we racked up a fortune just renting the damned thing, because we couldn't stop playing it. In 1994 I was like, ten, and my I guess, first and foremost, thanks to the video store on the corner of our street for carrying it. If only you knew what you unleashed. I am incredibly lazy, so this project would have sat around unfinished for years were it not for the indispensible resources at my disposal. The following people did 90% of the work for me; all I had to do was show up and produce a bunch of lame lines and voila! A summary. Final Fantasy VI (/III) and all its concepts/characters are the property of Square-Enix. Square, if you are following referral logs: PLEASE LEAVE YOUR MASTERPIECE ALONE. WE DO NOT WANT A SEQUEL. Thanks. All of the character portraits, sprites, and screencaps came from the Final Fantasy Wiki. Man, I don't know who's behind that monster, but all of them saved me from having to dig out the game and my camera to do it all myself. Which I would not have done, so. So there you have it. My siblings, Gage and Pyrie, served as quality checkers -- which, if you've ever seen me HTML, is akin to willingly subjecting yourself to a face full of rancid meat. Tux provided the website graphics, and Lily doctored Edgar's and Duncan's alternate portraits for me. As always, many hugs and thanks to LN Tora, mine gracious friend, host, and helpdesk. |
